In partnership with US Sailing, we are bringing the Siebel Sailors Program to the Palm Beach Sailing Club
We are officially announcing our designation as a Siebel Sailing Support Center for a groundbreaking program that provides increased access to sailing for youth regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds.
The Siebel Sailors Program seeks to increase opportunity and diversity in the sport of sailing by providing resources and support to youth sailors from all backgrounds. We will develop skilled, life-long sailors who can participate in all aspects of the sport by providing access to equipment, athlete development, and expert coaching at the Palm Beach Sailing Club.
The Siebel Sailors Program is a grant-based program available for middle school (ages 11-14) from diverse backgrounds who wish to learn to sail and, if interested, may have the opportunity to learn to race by participating in sailing regattas.
The Thomas and Stacey Siebel Foundation was founded in 1996 to support projects and organizations that improve its community members' quality of life, environment, and education. In 2019, they partnered with US Sailing to launch the Siebel Sailors Program to increase opportunity and promote diversity in the sport of sailing.
Siebel Sailors will use our six brand new RS Feva's, widely recognized for their excellence as training boats, and specially designed to be kid-friendly and fun. Life jackets are provided and will be worn at all times.. The program is under the direction of US Sailing coach MacKenzie McGuckin, the designated Siebel Coach for the Florida Region.
